Weekly Briefing:

1. School is open this Sunday March 25, and will be closed next week April 1, due to the Easter holiday.
2. Registration issues—if you registered for the spring semester, please deliver your tuition ASAP
3. Poster contest is on April 15. Please pick up the White board on March 25 at the school office 345.
4. Registration for the NO school Day Services for Spring Break at Cultural Center 
5. Guanghua Summer Program early bird registration ended this Sunday.
6. Accel will be in the school on March 25
7. Visa services: This Sunday US International 3:00-4:00pm at Room 317
8. Teachers are needed, Chinese, SAT Reading and Writing, CML, Yoyo

1. Guanghua Chinese School is open this Sunday March 25. Next Sunday, school will be closed due to the Easter Holiday. Please make a note on your calendar.
 
2. The spring semester has started for five weeks. Some families have made some adjustment for their registration. Currently, school asked teachers to check their students that presented in the classes with the registration online database. If you are taking any classes but haven’t registered yet, please go online to register ASAP. If you haven’t paid tuition, you will be charged a penalty. Thank you for your cooperation.
 
3. Our Annual poster contest for this year will be held on 4/15/2018. Since we do not have school on 3/18 and 4/1, school will have Poster Boards ready on 3/25 for Picking up.   
All posters will be on display between 2-5 pm on 4/15.  Each class is required to send in TWO parent representatives as judges to score the Posters between 2:30-4 pm. All judges need to pick up the Rating Forms from Jing Zhang
(张静)in school office at 2pm on 4/15. Please refer to attached Poster Contest Guidelines and Arrangements for detail.  Please be aware that student attending rate and the number of required retuned rating forms are also factors for your final poster contest score.

4. We have a No School Day Service next week for the Spring Break March 26 – March 30. Cultural Center will open from 8:30 - 5:30 and will arrange Chinese class, Chinese Cultural Introduction, Math and Science Class, outdoor activity, and field trip, etc during the sessions. There are snacks time in the morning and in the afternoon. We provide Lunch for the participants $6 per meal. Please register ASAP. Deadline for the registration is March 25, 2018. 5. GHCS summer program’s registration has been started. You may go to website www.gpc3.org/summer for registration. Spots are filling. Multiple discounts are still available. March 25 will be the last day for early bird discount. And we will have registration desk ready at school from 1:00pm-4:30pm  on March 25. 6. Mr. Abe Pak, CEO of Accel will be our school on March 25 to answer all questions regarding their summer programs. GHCS families ONLY receive 10% off Earlyregistration and 10% off Special Discount on March 25 from 1pm-4:30 pm at the Guanghua Chinese School. Please come to meet Mr. Pak this Sunday.
 
7. Visa and travel services: US International will be in our school on March 25@3:00-4:00pm at Room 317 for visa and flight tickets services.
 
8. The early registration for next school year 2018-2019 will start soon. School is looking for teachers who are interested in teaching Chinese, SAT reading and writing, CML,Aerobic,Gongfu, Taiji, and Chinese Yoyo etc. Please submit your resume to This email address is being protected from spambots. 9. Seminar on Private schools in the greater Philadelphia by Yuxiang Rao, March 25 @2:00 Room 344. Mr. Rao, Grace-Hope Educational Consulting will come to our school to give an introduction of the private schools in the greater Philadelphia area, including admission requirement, tuition fee, financial aid applications.
