Fees and Refund Policy for Fall 2009 Semester


FCFS rule: The registration policy for each class is based on the FCFS (First-come, first-served) rule. If you register late and the class is full, please put your child's name on the waiting list. The school will contact you before school starts and help you to find the best solution between your child and the school.

 

NOTE: If you register your child in one class, but you are letting him/her attend a different class other than the one you have registered, you will be charged up to $100 as a violation penalty since it would cause great confusion for the database tracking.


The deadline for Registration and online textbook order (only applies for Ma, Liping's textbooks):

May 17, 2009 is the deadline for both the registration and Ma's textbook order. If you miss the registration deadline, you will be charged a late fee (refer to the section of “Tuition Late Fee”).  As for Ma’s textbooks order, if you miss the deadline for the textbook order at registration or if you forget to check off the textbook box at registration, the school will assume that you don’t need to buy the textbook, therefore, Guanghua Chinese School won’t be able to place the textbook order for you. Therefore, you will end up needing to buy the textbook directly from Stanford Chinese School at http://www.mychineseschool.com/cirric/goumai.php

Tuition late fee:

If you miss the deadline of May 17 for online registration, a late fee will be automatically added to your account.

The school prefers to collect the payment of tuition and textbook fee once the registration starts. If the payment can be made prior to the last day of this spring semester (by May 17, 2009), it would be greatly appreciated since it would give the school more time to prepare for the fall semester. However, a check that combines both tuition fees and textbook fees should be delivered to school by September 20, the second week of the fall semester. Otherwise $10 of the late fee will be charged within the 3rd week.  After the 3rd week (21 days after school starts), you will be charged for $50 for late processing fee regardless your previous registration status.

 

Transfer fee:

A $20 of transfer fee will be charged for switching classes starting from the third week of every semester.  All requests must be made via emails (for record keeping purposes). If you don't have a computer, please come to the school office for assistance between 2-3:30pm while school is in session).

Discounts are available. Please see the
registration notice for details.

Refund policy:
A full refund is ensured within the first 14 days at every semester term. Every $10 will be taken off for every week thereafter. However, after the 5th week, no refund will be granted.
