在光华中文学校注册时，请详细阅读有关马丽萍教科书预定的注意事项：
Please read carefully about some important information
regarding the online order of Ma, Liping's textbook (These rules are only applied to Ma, Liping's
textbook) during registration at

五月十七号是学校统一购买马立平教科书的截止日期，同时也是学校今年秋季注册的截止期。不同的是，学校统一购书没有延长期。学生家长在为子女注册时，请同时在光华中文学校网站为学生预定教科书。学校将根据网上预订的结果购书。逾期者需要自己到斯坦福中文学校的网站购书。
The final deadline for the school to place the order
for Ma liping textbooks is on May 17， which is the same as the date for fall registration this
year. The only difference is that book order has NO extended grace period.
Therefore, all parents must place the order on the School website as well as
register classes before its deadline. After the deadline, the school won't take
any textbook ordering. It will be the parents' full responsibility to purchase
the textbook directly from the original seller (

please: In general, an individual order is about $15 more than a group order if
the total number of textbooks in the group is >9 (for more accurate
information refer to the website of Stanford Chinese School). The detailed

家长在为其子女注册中文课的同时，如果该年级用的是马立平的教材，
请在该年级的购书空格里，选择是否需要购买教材。在开支票时，请将学费和书费同时交，便于管理。学校不再接受现金付款。一旦学校核对学生的学费和教科书的书款后，教科书将由各班的家长代表统一分发到学生手中。（其它教材的购买仍维持原样。）
In other words, parents must decide (check off the box
at registration) if you need to order a textbook at a suitable grade level at
the time of registration (other textbook ordering remains unchanged). The
payment for fall textbook ordering will be consolidated with your tuition at
every fall registration as one check. No more cash due to inventory tracking
purpose。 Once the money
gets paid off, the ordered textbook will be delivered through parent representative
accordingly.

斯坦福中文学校规定书售出后，一旦开封，一律不予退换。然而，新书若有缺损，及时发现，三十天之内学校可以负责加以退换。超过三十天, 请自行与斯坦福中文学校联系退换事宜。
Once the textbooks are unpacked, no refund will be granted
under any circumstances. There can be one exception: in case of defects such as
missing pages, etc. exchange within 30 days will be considered. Make sure you
check your textbooks after unpacking.

考虑到新生家庭不太熟悉学校情况，所以唯一的例外就是学前班的教材订购不受截止期的限制，但依然鼓励开学前上网预定。
Considering
the fact that the kindergartener students are new to the school, the textbooks
for all the kindergartner students will be taken care of by the school,
regardless of the requirement of online ordering for other students.

转学的孩子如果需要教材的话，需视库存的情况而定，如有存书，可以付支票购买，但任何情况下学校都不收现金。如没有存书，则须向斯坦福中文学校直接购买。
Textbooks
for transferred students depend on the school inventory. If the textbooks are
in stock, you may purchase textbooks with a check. If the textbooks are out of
stock, then the parents should go to

网上预定马丽萍教材是光华中文学校在与家长代表沟通后所做的一项新的尝试。目的是为了提高效率、减少中间环节，以便建立统一的资金管理系统。但是，就像其它事情一样，任何一项新的措施都会遇到各种新的问题。如果大家在使用的过程中有什么建议，请及时地反馈给我们，以便今后再逐一地加以解决。
Online pre-ordering is the new practice at GHCS, a
consequence of communicating with the parent representatives. The only purpose
is to enhance the efficiency by eliminating the gaps in order to unify the
financial management system. However, like many other new procedures, this new
practice will encounter other problems or challenges, therefore, it is
important to communicate with the school constantly with your comments and
suggestions for future improvements.

截至2008年止，现有班级使用马丽萍教材的情况如下：
a. 学前班到四年级的所有班级用马丽萍教材；
b. 五年级用马丽萍教材。G5B除外（使用标准中文）。
c. G6只有一个班级，现使用标准中文；
d. 七年级的所有班级用马丽萍教材。
e. 八、九、十年级用标准中文。
注1：所有的新班级都将使用马丽萍教材。而且，每到秋季, 各个班级都将依现有班级序号逐年向上增加一级。比如，到了2009秋季， 现在的G6班就相应的递增为G7班。余下的班级都依此类推。
Until the end of spring semester in 2008, Ma, Liping's
textbooks are used in all grade levels as follows:
a.
K to 4th
grade: Ma, Liping's textbooks
b.
5th
grade except G5B: Ma, Liping's textbooks
c.
G6: "Zhong
Wen"
d.
7th
grade: Ma, Liping's textbooks
e.
8th,
9th and 10th grade: "Zhong Wen"
Note 1: All new upcoming classes will use Ma, Liping's
textbook. And also, the textbook for each grade level should be increased by
one level for every fall semester. For example, at the beginning of fall
semester in 2009, the current G6 class will become G7 class by then. The same
justification applies to the rest.
Note 2: (The
following information is listed as extra information for those classes using
other textbooks)

Currently, G8, G6, and G5B use Zhong Wen's textbook
